The Appalachian Heritage Festival was a big success, in spite of Mother Nature. The rain didn't dampen anyone's spirits, there was great music, beautiful, handmade jewelry, arts and crafts, great food, face painting, pony rides, adorable kittens - in other words, something for everyone. And a special treat was the tours of Deery Inn. Since relocating to this area, I've wanted to get inside this wonderful & historic building. I finally got my chance. Thank you Bob for the tour! The restoration work is truly magnificent.
